MyPassion Wing Chun Chi Sao
Chi Sao is a training method in MyPassion Wing Chun, a martial art that originated in China. Chi Sao translates to “sticky hands” and involves several exercises designed to train tactics and techniques for close combat. Chi Sao is often referred to as “live sparring” because it focuses on feeling and responding to an opponent’s movements through arm contact without engaging in an actual exchange of blows.
The exercises are performed by two partners who stand opposite each other, touch each other with their arms, and move through applied pressure.
By practicing Chi Sao, MyPassion Wing Chun practitioners aim to develop better body awareness and heightened sensitivity to movements and attacks. Additionally, the exercises are intended to help improve reaction time, enhance coordination, and strengthen muscles. Overall, it aids trainees in improving themselves in various ways, enabling them to appear more confident both in training and in the outside world.
